The heart of the Soomaa tourism area is Soomaa National Park, one of the pearls of Estonian nature.
Located on the border of Pärnu and Viljandi counties, the national park is primarily associated with the fifth season, when high water creates gigantic ice fields on floodplains or makes the forests navigable by canoe. Soomaa has preserved the tradition of building and using single-person boats, known as haabjas – this characteristic tradition of Soomaa is inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Welcome to Soomaa, Estonia's hidden treasure! Immerse yourself in the heart of nature, discover diverse activities - exciting canoe trips through untouched swamps and peaceful hikes in historical forests. Explore the charm of Soomaa - where adventure meets tranquility.
