Canoe trips

The canoeing season in Soomaa starts with the spring floods during the ice breakup, also known as the fifth season. Typically, this occurs at the end of March or the beginning of April. The canoeing season ends when the rivers freeze over, usually in December.

You can book a private guided canoe trip with local tour operators or go on a self-guided canoe trip. If you prefer, you can join other water sports enthusiasts on scheduled canoe trips.

If you wish, you can also rent a canoe and organize the trip yourself.
