How to get here?
- Soomaa is located in the borderland between Viljandi and Pärnu counties. Unfortunately, due to the scarce local population, there aren't many good solutions to rely on public transportation, alas we must admit that it is more comfortable to walk, bike or come by car.
- All year round one can take a bus from Pärnu to Tori, from Viljandi to Suure-Jaani or Kõpu village. In the summer, these lines are prolonged up to Soomaa Visitor Centre in Kõrtsi-Tõramaa. More details: peatus.ee
- For cyclists, it's good to know that the train stations closest to Soomaa are Türi and Olustvere.
On the spot it's possible to rent bikes from a number of guesthouses and of course t is most enjoyable to travel along the waterway.
